Hey All

Me again sorry for post after post but I do lack rather a lot of knowledge here :(

I finally got my loop setup with a lot of help from people on here so many thanks :) but I would like to get some really accurate temperature readings for my GPU and CPU, I have tried a few different software options but readings are all different depending on what software I use which is abit annoying.

I did purchase a White Bit fenix fan controller with my setup which I intended to use to control the fan speed but have all the fans on max and the noise isn't to bad but it also came with some temperature sensors/probes.

Question is on the Waterblock where would you fit this sensor to get an accurate reading as I assume sticking it to the side of the waterblock won't work as thats what the water is cooling and I need to get a direct reading from the CPU, guessing that sticking the probe between the CPU and Waterblock where the thermal paste is is a bad idea? and same goes for the GPU where is a good position for them as I have water blocks on both?

Thanks in Advance.

You're not going to get an accurate reading using temperature probes. If you stick to a single software suit to monitor temperatures, you'll at least get relatively accurate results.

If memory serves me right asus probe can have conflicts with other monitoring suites, uninstall all monitoring suites choose one like core temp, hwmonitor or real temp and as above just use the one. None will be precise but will be close enough :)

Not sure what my problem is with core temp, but its crashing my pc :(
i was using temp probes and then just adding +10c on to the readings for the time being.
don't like the probes as they take too long to react.

maybe after a rebuild and fresh windows install the problem with core temp will disappear.
