Temperature sensor placement

Hi all,

I have a EK-Quantum Kinetic res horizontally mounted, all G1/4 ports at the pump end are being used.

I would like to add a temparature sensor to one of the three spare ports at the other end of the res.
Would this be a good place for the sensor as it's not in the direct flow of water.

I don't really want to pull the loop apart but if that is what needed then so be it..

The sensor will be connected to an aquaero 5LT.

Any advice would be great.

Regards,

Martin

One of the ports should be fine. I would drain just part of the coolant, not all, and tilt the case to allow the sensor to be installed.
Another option, but trick, would be one of the unused ports from GPU block (if you are watercooling the GPU) or one of the drain/extra port from radiator (if you're using one of the thick Alphacool.

Thanks for the reply.

The only place is on the res don't really want it on the front of the GPU
