hi i have a Scythe Kaze Server fan controller and i have the 3 temp sensors stuck to my 360 rad at the same place and they give me different readings 30.1, 31.2, 30.4, i have it on auto but my fans dont sync because of the different readings, my question is, is there a way i can make the temp match on all 3 channels, i thought maybe a 2 pin to 3 x 2 pin whould work so i could use one sensor for the 3 x 2pin that are on the back of the scythe, but cant find a product to do this, any ideas ??

you could split the signal from the temp sensors, are these the 2 pin ones?
I haven't tried but I guess it could work.
Otherwise dont be surprised, temp sensors of this quality are only within +/-1C accurate

hi yes they are the 2 pin ones, i have 2 spare ones which i might cut and join to make 2 x 2pin to one sensor and see if it works, if so ill join 3 together, im not to bothered about how acurate the temp reading is just whould be nice to have the fans all sync on auto, i tried joining 3 fans to one channel but it went a bit crazy so i put them all on separate channels, its a shame they dont put some sort of calibration setting on these things or does that sound stupid :D

you should be able to tune each channel for speed vs. temp to account for it
hi, yeh tried that but they still dont sync, i tried lowering one but it stays on for ages while the outher 2 go off, maybe im being to fussy but whould be nice to have all the fans go off at the same time :D

Just split the + and - of the temp probe into 3 wires each and connect to the relevant pins on the fan controller.

BTW ;) your sig is disgusting ;) reminds me of Bubba the Hut

That's because I am :D:D;) funny that the wife says I remind her of him:D going to try and split the wires tomorrow see what happens

analogue sensors are not accurate and never will be. you need digital sensors for the best accuracy . some thing that uses the dallas temperature probes.

E.g we run a crystalfontz and 16 probes in one of our test rigs and were tightened them into to 0.1c accuracy. How ever its not some thing you can stick direct on a CPU as there too big.

ok i split the wires and joined them together and all three temp sensors are reading the same temperture, now all the fans turn on and off at the same time if i want them to on auto, i am now a happy bunny:D:D:D

edit: should have said happy Bubba
