Evening all,
After my computer turning off on its own last week and not being able to turn in back on i tried a new power supply and done the relevant troubleshooting by trying with a single stick of ram, removing the graphics card but still no joy.
So i narrowed it down to the motherboard.
Bought a new motherboard but was still having the same error so i managed to get hold of another computer off a friend with the same socket motherboard and processor, turns my processor and original motherboard is faulty.
How strange for both of them to fail exactly the same time?
So i now have a broken motherboard a Asus P8P67 Pro, A broken cpu a i7 2600k and a brand new working motherboard a Gigabyte G1.Sniper M3
One member suggested that i wait until Skylake gets released which is probably the end of 2015 beginning of 2016 which i think is a good idea.
But i need a temporary replacement motherboard and CPU to last me until then, any suggestions on what i should do?
I could keep the Gigabyte board and by a used i5 2500k for around £80 like someone has already suggested.
But i have spoke to the shop i bought the Gigabyte G1.Sniper M3 from and they're happy to refund me so i could go for something completely different?
The Gigabyte board cost me £150
What do you think i should do?
Thanks
