Hi,
I've just Installed an E5300 and it's running at stock speeds.
Idle temps 40/38
Stress temps 40/38
and even though i've only just booted and started stress testing real temp is saying it's been running for 15:03:55
anyone any ideas what's causing my temps to stick at the same?

edit: also can't seem to find the temps in my P5Q-pro bios.

Not normally.

Actualy, tell a lie, mine started to work when I overclocked to 4.0ghz

hmm, the only problem is that i'm stres testing it now with a corsair H50 on it and it's saying 40/38 which i'm going to say is quite a bit higher than it should be. So not knowing the temps i don't really want to overclocking it too much incase the cooler isn't on correct or something like that.

When I spoke to Intel regards my sensors they said the cpu will / would protect it's self in an event, weather the cpu has a different way tell or the cpu reads the sensors correct. With the reply from Intel I though what the hell, I know that does not help you :(
