Anyone else go?

A few pics from the show. Bare in mind i'm not a pro photographer. Point and click is as good as it gets for me.

Andy Forrest Impreza (with 'handling' addition in this pic). Fastest car down the quarter this year. 8.77 @ 170'ish mph!

Opel Kadett. 2.0 Turbo. 2nd quickest RWD car @ 11.2 secs.

2.0 Cosworth Engine.

Fiesta with full Evo engine and running gear.

Very nice wide bodied R32.

K20 Turbo.

Some very quick R35's there. Think this one was 900bhp!

Was hoping to go to this, knew a few of the runners.

Last few for now.

This was running huge power and literally had zero traction down the whole qtr mile! Could be heard spinning the wheels into 4th!

This was really tidy.

I went with a friend who was running the only Pulsar GTI-R there. I wont post pics as its a little 'rough round the edges'! He managed a 12.08 @ 115mph. Not bad considering he's running a relatively small (t28 sized) turbo! Must have done 20-25 runs over the sat/sun and the gearbox never blew up once! Miracle imo.

Also spoke to a few of the SXOC/200sx guys. One of which won the RWD handling shootout beating a porsche of some kind, in a Mad Max'esque V8 s13!!

Pretty epic weekend and I got sunburn on my face. Panda eyes ftl :/

It's held at elvington airfield in York.

There was a few club stands that spent all day polishing their cars so might well have been a 'show and shine'. I'm not into that at all really so didn't pay any attention to that side of things.

i didnt think it was that sort of event to be honest. people who make cars go quick typically dont do the OCDetailing

Yeah it's not really. The vast majority were very performance orientated. I guess it gave the people that went to support their club something to do (if there was a show and shine that is!? Why else spend all day polishing when there is so much other cool stuff going around you?!?)

no, they have almost every brand that has a tuning scene, then they race them and find out whats fastest. all very manly

I was there with team mlr

It is mainly jap stuff, obviously the big german tuners run scared

Scoobies and evos dominate but the gtr's are so easy to tune its getting silly.

No show and shine its all about how big your turbo is

3 cars broke 200mph down the 1km runway, proper insane.

Andy forest managed 202 in his impreza and the seven valley gtr did 205!

Andys Scoob, The Evo Fiesta and the Wallace Evo are all ones that are usually at knockhill / crail.
