Was in the news yesterday.

When approached by the movie money people James Cameron refused to do another 2 Terminator films. He would only do one more and that was to be set in the future during WW3. However movie money people thinking only of money insisted that there was to be 2. Cameron refused to do it and of coarse Arnie quit acting.

So now we have T4, believe they are trying to convince Arnie to do a cameo.

Was a bit obvious after T3. The only reason they made that was to set up the 4th.

T2 was one of the films that shaped my youth. Never watched the 3rd film and never will, it just looked awful.

I really hope they don't make the 4th.

The effects in T2 are some of the best i have seen in a film and for its age it doesnt look dated even now.

Easily one of the best action films i have ever seen!

Sigh, should be left alone now tbh.

I heard Sam Jackson might have a role in it.

"I'll be black.."

Let sleeping dogs lie tbh.

It'll only be worth watching if the original people were making it and as they're not, it's only going to be dire.

Only reason I like the third film is because they set the ending up brilliantly, in my opinion, the last few minutes made the entire film.

T4 will certainly be a totally different film I think to the other three, probably a bit of a Matrix: Revolutions thing to it maybe. If four films is all they're doing, then I'm guessing they're going to have to destroy Skynet in some way, but I don't see how they'll do it unless they make some sort of virus, as Skynet has no single location.

I don't agree with those that assume another sequel will rape the memory of the first 2 films (of which the first is easily the best). If what the article says is true, that it will be a much more sci-fi type affair, then it could be a great film in it's own right. Granted, T3 was let down by the crap directing and general cheese, but the effects and set pieces were far better than T2. Personally, I'd love to see the story of the emergence of John Connor as a leader and the whole post-apocalyptic battle with Skynet.

In my opinion the last few minutes ruined it. All it was doing was saying 'this isn't the end of the story, wait for the next film'

I rate T3 as badly as the 2nd and 3rd Matrix films.

Get the T2 Ultimate Edition DVD and watch the deleted scenes, the true ending is on there.

John grows up and goes into politics (Not a military leader but a peacfull one). He campagnes for Nuclear disarmament and stops the war from happening that way

So in my head thats what happened, no T3 and certainly no T4.

And what a cheesy, contrived ending that would be! 'Oh lets make them realise that war is bad and all our problems can besolved peacefully and we'll all live happily ever after', *retch*.

It's the typical morality lesson that Hollywood wants to end every film with.

You clearly haven't watched it...

It is simply a monologue spoken by Sarah we see her as an old woman, sitting in the park featured earlier in the film.

She wants people to realise how close they came to Armageddon so they can appreciate what they have. She feels the future isn't necessarily bright but through people like John there is some hope. Her words are haunting.

I've seen more cheese at the vegan society's annual meeting tbh

I have watched it and it carries the message that everything will be OK if we can just get along. That ending would still have left the giant time-travel-paradox plot hole, that at least was addressed by T3.

there's no need to watch it now is there now you've told us all!

it sounds EXACTLY like what tru said, a cheesy contrived lesson in morality where if we all work together, everything will be ok!

grows us and goes into politicis? the kid was a freaking nutter in his youth, sounds extremely out of character, mental scarring HELLO?

Termiantor 3 was pump.

There are some things you really just cant get away with doing, and making a seqeul to Terminator 2 was one of them.

Really, you couldnt get away with a sequel to Terminator were it not for people's complete inability to remember major plot points, like the whole point of the film as expounded by Kyle Reese.

"It had no choice. Skynet's defense grid was smashed. We'd won. Taking out Connor then would have made no difference. "

Terminator One, as Tru said, was the best of them I thought. It was made in 1984 and the special effects, although looking slightly dated now, were superb for the time and that film was not a big budget one.

Terminator Two, I loved it as it was Arnie at his best and the special effects still look superb even now. Robert Patrick was superb although Edward Norton could be slightly annoying at times.

Terminator Three. I enjoyed it as it was a rumpus and Arnie was in it but I wasn't overjoyed. The ending set up the next one without doubt and the Terminator bird was do-able, metal chassis or not !

I hope T4 does happen and I hope it is set in the future during the war as the first three films have been based around cyborgs being sent back through time to protect and it's been set in the present time. The scene is set for a film to be based in the future and with Connor leading against Skynet. James Cameron can make this work as most of his work is gold.

Hehe, Edward Furlong you mean?? :p I generally watch any sequel of a film I love, mainly just to get more of it, it's why I watched and liked T3. In it's own right and compared to the other two it is tripe. I guess I am the kind of target they make these sequels for, the type of people who love to see more of a film no matter if it's rubbish or not :(

I didn't pay to see it though :p got it on DVD rented :)
