Hi guys,

Hope this is OK to post here. Ive recently got into Terminator the Sarah Connor Chronicles after finding out Summer Glau was in it and its pretty good. The last 5 episodes are supposed to be awesome and it'll be a shame if the show gets canned by Fox due to the very low viewing figures.

Here is a petition i found on Spoiler TV, please take a few seconds to sign it if you like the show.

http://www.petitiononline.com/scc2009/petition.html

Feel free to discuss the episodes that have aired in the UK so far.

Its been in danger since it started, looks like it actually will happen this time. I enjoy it but I can see why it isn't popular. I would gladly have it cancelled to save Dollhouse though.

It lost its way midway through season 2 but the back 6 episodes look awesome from the spoiler reel from Wondercon. Looks like there is going to be a ton of action which is what it has been sorely lacking IMO.

Yeah Dollhouse is OK as well but thats not doing bad because of TSCC, canning TSCC wont save it.

Well it's two shows on the same channel that have less than impressive viewing figures. They might not have to cancel both.

As always thought it's all ******* Fox's fault for sticking them both on Friday night.

I doubt the figures will rise for Doll House no matter what it has as a lead in. The reviews are very bad for it and even a lot of Whedon fans don't even like it. Personally i like it, its not a patch on his other work but its enjoyable.

I'm hoping the new Terminator film will help boost interest in the franchise. But if the figures don't rise soon its looking very doubtful it'll have a future on Fox. The only option then would be for Warner Brothers to sell it to another network like sci-fi etc. Its rare but the show does good worldwide so its a possibility.

Problem is its on friday evening in america. At a time where its key audience are probably out down the pub or out with their mates. Thats the problem its the friday night death slot

Not surprised. The SCC is absolute **** and I used to enjoy it.

They can only tell a story in an episode, then continue that story 5 episodes later with a lot of **** filled in inbetween for so long.

Something major happened and 3 episodes later then still haven't continued on from it. It's just a load of dull randomness. Then you get one epic episode again.

Indeed. Then they have these random episodes exploring the terminator having memories, or other random stuff. Sometimes I'll watch the full ep, other times I end up fast forwarding most of the ep because it is utter drivel.

Looking forward to film though :)

Yeah i agree but Josh Friedman the creator has supposedly learnt from his mistakes now. TSCC is his first TV series as he has only done films before this. The fans have been bashing him and he even posted a long explanation on the TSCC writers blog on a Sunday afternoon. I think if there was a season 3 he would be forced to listen to what the fans want.

Hes promised the back 6 episodes of the season are the best yet and have loads of action and no filler. The last episode was good and I'm confident the rest will be good as well. Theres far too much potential for this to be canned now, season 3 could be awesome.

If it does get canned i just hope Summer moves onto another project. So far nearly every show shes been on has been canned through no fault of hers. I'd love to see her move over to Doll House but thats another show which is very likely to be canned and would add another failed TV show to her CV.

I'd like to see what they'd do with a 3rd season as this ones picking up and if as you say the last 6 episodes are as good as all that then it'll be an awesome end to the season (note not series) :)

I think Summer does an excellent job as a terminator style character - you can't ever really tell what her train of thought is and whether she will turn out to be bad all along etc

I'd like them to really pull it all together (somehow) and not leave us hanging if the show doesn't get picked up for a 3rd season!

I blame the ex-Firefly actors, everything they end up in seems to get cancelled (both Stargate series and now this).

Summer is the only reason TSCC is still going now IMO. The reason this show is in trouble is because of the writing.

Yeah i know what you mean. Josh has said all the questions from season 2 get wrapped up by the season finale. But he has written the end to allow for a third season should we get one, so there is bound to be a cliffhanger. Just hope it isn't anything to do with Cameron.

I hope you all sign the petition. I have my doubts about them doing any good as well but it takes a few seconds so and theres the slight chance if we get enough names together WB might take notice. It worked to get a full 22 episodes for season 2.

I'll go sign it but I have my doubts that the studio would listen - having signed similar things for "Moonlight" last year ...

I'd really like to see where the whole thing with the AI is going to lead as that's been a bit slow in going anywhere lately.

The new film with Bale should hopefully give the series a boost from people going to see it and then latching onto the end of this season - hopefully boosting the viewing/recording figures if TSCC is lucky!
