Terrible buzzing / clicking when GPU driver installed

So I've just put together my new build (see below). As soon as the GPU driver is installed (I've tried the one that came with the card, the latest & beta), i.e when the screen flicks black and then back, there is a terrible clicking / buzzing sound when the mouse is moved, keys typed etc.

The sound isn't from the speakers (not plugged in yet), but from the PC itself.

It renders the PC utterly unusable. If I uninstall the AMD driver, it's fine again (but clearly no use to me!). I've had a good search but can't really find anything that relates directly to this (people mention coil whine etc, but this seems tad extreme).

I'm assuming this is a GPU prob hence why I've posted this here.

Any help is much appreciated :)

If any of the afternoon crew have any ideas I'd really appreciate it. I've since run the PC with the on-board GFX - totally fine.

I've tried disabling certain CPU features as recommended in a few posts I found (auto-OC etc) - still nothing :(

Starting to lose hope ere!

pop in the bios and look for c1e and disable it,then makesure your using balanced power profile in windows power saving

seems like poor emi leakage from the mb/psu/gpu (the crackling sound when you move the mouse ect)

Thanks for the input guys. Re-seated a few times sadly.

I couldn't see that option in my BIOS - see below for a few pics.

Any ideas please? This is really bugging me now :p

Also, I've run FurMark which really makes it buzz like mad, but the CPU stress doesn't do anything?

Cheers all!

Ok, just did a total system reseat. Windows reinstall and loaded the gpu driver before anything to rule out conflicts. It buzzed just the same.

So I'm thinking it may be; a bios setting I missed, a duff gpu or the psu isn't up to it.

Any thoughts please?

im not sure if you have c1e option in the bios, but I have it on z68/77 systems

that usually stops or atleast lessens the noise, you can rma the card for another if its annoyingly loud but can also be down to what brand/model psu you use and can also be the motherboard causing it

every gpu ive owned makes coil whine but its not annoyingly loud and doesn't do it if I move the mouse around or in actual gameplay, only in game menu's/very very high fps

Ruled out coil whine due to the very distinct buzz/tick, and that it happens all the time, not just under load.

Sadly that's what I'm thinking, no way of pinning down the component causing it :-(

it lookslike gpu or psu or combination of both

if it was the boards power saving causing it it wouldn't do it if eist was disabled
