Terrible connection on VM 30Mb service

Same thing applies really...

Except you have no idea if he is referring to DSL or cable. This is why the term "exchange" is only used when referring to DSL. The problem is people have seen the word exchange mentioned during DSL discussion and think it applies to cable. I suppose the Sam Knows Exchange Search only further confuses people. The two technologies are separate and do not affect each other.

exchange seems to be getting used as a generic term relating to how your connection is linked to your isp, exchange/ubr as such are just seen as a connection to your isp no real technical description is usually referenced.

The hub is rubbish though, full stop.

Not really. Mines has been faultless. I'm using the superhub wireless too and i still max out my 50 meg connection at any time of the day and I can game with no lag.

Then again I did tweak the settings a bit

Well its not so much tweaking as it was actually setting it up.

I also disabled everything except PPTP PassThrough and Multicast from services.

Changed wireless to WPA2-PSK[AES] and using 145Mbps 802.11 mode.

Erm not a lot else really. I always do this when I install a hub into a customers unless they have anything that requires the firewall enabled.

I have tried modem only mode with a dd-wrt enabled dlink and the dlink was rubbish. Superhub is far superior in my experiences to the dlink but that's probably because mine was crap :)
