SO. I set up my new rig. Its seen in my sig. Installed oblivion and set all antialiasing and anisotroping from the nvidia control panel to 16xQ and 16x.
all maxed at 1680x1050 in vista. MAX 30 FPS?!?! WTF! Is this what i bought a GTX for? 30 fps? Mind you my CPU is still stock. Could it be the problem?

LOL - I think you were expecting too much! 1680x1050 with 16xAA in Oblivion? You kwayzeee.

Aye. 30fps is actually very good for those settings/resolution.
now you just need to read my Oblivion thread, load a few texture mods etc and really grind your performance down :)
tbh you don't need 16xAA. if you look at any screenies i've posted in the 1280x1024 screenie thread or my own, you'll see they have no AA @ 1280x960.
Oblivion is'nt a jaggy game.
of course now i've just ordered a 8800GTX and Dell 2407 I can too can whack some details/AA :D

16XQ are you mad?
Use normal 16AA, it's coverage sample and it's more than good enough. Christ I never use more than 8x and I game at a lower res than u.

Nah, when the g92 comes out, I´ll sell the GTX so I can run 16XQ In all todays games lol :p

Oblivion doesnt look as good as much it sucks my gpu. Bad code :( Hopefully Crysis will be like farcry. It ran like a dream all high on my ex rig. (9800pro, 3200+)

Ps. Whats the difference between 16xQ and normal 16x?

Different algorithms. 16xQ is expensive and high quality.

Normal 16 is actually 'Coverage Sample Antialiasing' - a lot less expensive, slightly less quality. More practical.
