Tesco/Love Film + Blu Ray

I think thats the most ever competitors listed in one post above! /\

I dont think the OP was talking about buying the Blu-rays. He is renting them from Lovefilm, not buying from them.

Ive been using blockbusters for Blu Ray rentals had no problems so far, have used them in the past for normal DVD movies and cant fault them..
ive only had one cracked disc so far and been with them more then an year

normally just go online click report fauly disc and get the next disc sent out before they get the faultly one back which i find quite good

i prefer the interface priority list a bit better too as you can number which dvds you want in order unlike lovefilms where you only get the choice of High/Med/Low priority setting

If you are a member of Lovefilm rental then here's a tip for you. If you buy from them and rent, on a purchase over £10 you can earn what is called a Film Extra. That is no matter what rental plan you are on, you earn an extra rental but the price I menton hardly justifies an extra rental does it.
As for the competitors - well since OCUK don't rent movies they are hardly against the forum regulation rules. And on another note it points out that some of us do our research other than bellowing out a flame war over who is better. I just point out the facts as I see them.
Since the OP is interested in renting and has seen what the waters are so-to-speak let him make up his own mind if it is relevant to him. I don't quite know how they work it but Lovefilm are supposed to give you a film extra for every £10 you spend on films from them at any single purchase.

^ confirmed. I bough a few Christmas pressies from LoveFilm when they had their 10% sales plus great deals on Blu Rays.

I now have three Film Credits I can use whenever- click the button to activate one at a time, and you get an extra disc from your list sent out. You temporarily have one more disc and when it's returned you stick at your limit again.

You mentioned various video game retailers too. Ocuk sell Xbox 360 etc, so they are competitors. Also one competitr you mentioned sells hardware like graphic cards, so they are a major competitor. A competitor can be any company that sells products that ocuk sell, read the FAQ.

Not in the context I was writing in. The retailers took the Tax haven aproach to compete with Play.com. Play sell TV's Computer, equipment and various other items but I did not mention those in the context of the post. Everyone is in competition against each other these days on some sort of level. I do not wish to bring OCUK into this Post because they have a hard time of it as it is in the current climate. I don't wish to mention video Games in the context of the post because we are discussing Blu-Ray Rental. But if you rent and sell the same product you should at least be competitive.
I have nothing against Lovefilm as long as they do the thing they are trusted to do and that is rent movies. Usually the worst thing I get from Lovefilm is the 2 disc editions where the extras are on the second disc. I sometimes recieve the movie and about a month later I get the extras disc. I rate my films and sometimes review them so I have adopted the point of not rating a movie until I have recieved and seen all the dvd's now. After all it is no good going back through your old rental list to see what you thought of a certain title if you haven't seen all the DVD's now is it. A bit like forming an opinion of Lost or 24 based on one episode isn't it.

I had that problem too when I was subbed with them, all my subtitled and low budget kung-fu films coming before the newest releases. Didn't please the other occupants, but then again, they weren't paying :D (or well paying after the free trial was up).

I am sort of off online renting now though, the last two games I sent back before cancelling the free trial conveniently went missing in the post. Then half way through the claim process one let slip that only one title had been received back and that the other was the only one missing, then they wanted the two put down on the lost claims form for royal mail and both were missing again. Funny that email about only one being missing wasn't recorded on their site message system, but I still have the email stored in a folder.

I think it was all down to a disgruntled employee though, because after two weeks of cancelling the account, £110 on a taxi from Stansted airport and a £70 Vodafone top-up appeared on my debit card. Sounds like it was a gift for someone just getting into the country.

It doesn't matter what context its in. You cannot mention a competitors name here. Ever.

I've had no problems using multiple lists to get what I want from them :D

I have on set up as a drop box, where everything goes before it gets put in the lists with disks assigned. Easy as pi :)
