Tesco - Rate Your Local Store !

But tesco employs direct decedents of the T-Rex (similar arm reach on the tills) meaning self service is a win win in those stores, OH and I don't have to engage with Mary about the ******* weather, how expensive everything is now and what am I doing with that large cucumber, KY Jelly and a calendar of Carol Verdabotox.
What if Mary wants some tips with the Cucumber? What then?

Haven't used a Tesco store for about twenty years, since I bought some meat, which when opened smelled and was, rancid.

Did some Googling (or whatever was around at the time) and found out it was common practise for them to change the out of date stickers for meat.

Got my refund and not been back since.

About a year ago, Tesco closed all the checkouts at 8pm, and it takes ******* forever to self scan a trolley load. Especially when you invariably need to wait for assistance 2-4 times. And they have one member of staff covering 18 checkouts. I started buying more from Aldi to save the hassle.
everywhere seems to do this apart from M&S

M&S is getting dangerous with the self service though... in my local one the clothing area is basically all self service now and a help desk for returns....

your aging customers will love that surely!!!!! they will put anything they were going to buy down and leave..... who runs these stores?

it's obvious the people who shop in M&S want actual service..... the average age in a M&S must be about 50 surely

what are they thinking?

Tescos are rubbish our Lidl veg is rubbish unless you eat it within 12hrs from picking it up.

Lucky to have a really good butcher, expensive compared to the supermarkets but the quality is 100% better and would sooner eat less crap meat and enjoy good quality stuff.

Mmmmm, we always shop at Tesco.

LIDL/ALDI - crap food.

ASDA - crap food, stock trolleys everywhere and populated by mostly Eastern Europeans either shouting at the staff or each other.

Morrisons - not bad, but prefer Tesco.

Tesco - middle of the road and within budget.

Sainsburys - a bit pricey.

Waitrose/M&S - would love to afford to shop there. Nice every now and again, but too expensive for the regular shop.

Our local Tesco is one of the super store ones but still about 4 miles away. It was always a good place to shop, but I’ve got to admit, we’ve online shopped for probably the last 10 years. I bet I step foot in the place maybe once or twice in 12 months and then it’s for one or two items so I’m not in it long enough to take much notice. One thing I did actually notice, till aisles had more than halved and were replaced by self checkout
