Test Drive unlimited Beta sign up live ...

My debit card didnt work, I had to use credit card.

For clarifaction. I downloaded this beta as a free user (have been for about 8 years)

Once I installed it, The beta asked me for a key.

So I went back to file planet, signed up on the cheapest option (£9 per quater)
Will probably cancel it.

Signed up on the page I have given you a link to and screen shots on how to do so and it worked flawlessly. I bet most of you are not ticking the accept T&C boxes.
 
I signed up for the annual offer with vat for just over £17 as i have dl plenty of them in the past so easier just to have 1 years, it did take 3 attempts for me to get the key but it worked in the end, downloading as we speak trouble is i never max out off here so its going to take a while.

Got it down and installed but i can't connect to a server always says check your network connection which is fine typical.

unrealistic car performance. all cars seem like thier powered by the same engine. no real differentiation in engine torque produced at different revs, all seem to based on the more revs the more speed theory :rolleyes:
 
Its not too bad on the pc looks nice, running it at 1280x960 all max with 8aa 16af with ssaa and its pretty good just have the odd blip occasionally, i wouldn't say they got much to finish it imo.

I thinik it's a bit buggy in that respect, but of course I don't think you're meant to see more than a (relatively) few people. Check on the map and click on the people button at the top and see if there are any car icons on the screen.

In terms of the bugginess sometimes you seem to be disconnected and don't get anyone at-all.


Overall it's a pretty good game and I like the car delivery missions. Will quite possible buy this when it comes out... Have submitted one bug report so far but I've noticed a couple of bugs which have escaped my memory...
 
OK i was stupid. i figured it out.
i had to make a profile with gamespy id.. i done that now and im having to do all the missions again....

i see people now but not an awful lot.
 
radio, press R to start it
num pad 9 to change station and and num pad -,+ to change volume.

edit, also i found that people using clutch have massive advantage because auto clutch on this is SLOOOWW. if your on a auto gear change takes agggis

amusingly I don't know how to use a clutch (can't drive irl) so I have it turned off... but I do use a manual. Did think it seemed a bit slow.

Visited every car showroom now... that took a good couple of hours

Esspecially when you drive 20+ miles to some of them :p

I've found some awesome roads whilst driving around. The four lane motorway through the mountains is my favourite :D

New car :D
