hey all

I am tryin to get on, but i dont even get the "connecting to server" it just bypasses it and then menu comes up with continue game blanked out......is the server still up peeps?

I had that the other night and it turned out one of the sav files was corrupt :( luckily i had a backup tho, otherwise I might have lost everything :(

I would guess you could backup your saves folder then remove the saves, go into the game and create a profile with the same name as your other one and start the game. Then just copy over the old "playersave" file?

The "commondt.sav" file only contains stuff like settings and gamespy account details. So if it's corrupt you should be able to save your savegame :confused:

Also I had 2 "playersave" folders with the "commondt.sav" file so I just backed em up and then copied the older "commondt.sav" to the newer one overwriting the corrupt one.

ok ive just been playing the game, its pretty good, runs like a dream maxed out, and is fun to play, two questions:

1: How when just cruising around do i open the big map? it dosent say in the options?

2: are the servers down? keeps coming up with that for me?

I love this game too much, hopefully a patch will be good, then a Download Pack. Plus don't you guys just love my sig. Took it in game, with photomode. ;) Edited wheels in photoshop.

I hate the way photomode doesnt make the wheels blurred :(


And yeah by the amount of people asking id say servers are down :)
 
Servers are still up, I'm still online racing vs people etc :)

Maybe you also have a corrupt sav ? :( if you go onto profiles, does your account still have a gamespy account attached to it?
When mine corrupted, the gamespy thing dissapeared and also the resolution etc reset to the default :(
 
yep servers up here as well
just thrashed a GTO with my level 2 tuned aston so much fun doing that as he said he would own my little european rubbish with his american muscle car.

Ahh the satisfaction as i left him in a cloud of smoke was just so good i am still smiling ten minuites after the race :D
 
Great drive!! Just gotta love cruising around in groups!! Saw quite a few familiar faces there. I'm the one in the blue V8 Vantage.

Haha, that was a right good run, I too hope we can all do it again :p.

Meh, the test drive servers are so buggy and laggy, its not surprising you couldent connect. A few times at the start, I spawned by clicking on someone at the alfa meeting point, but when I got there, no one was there :\.
