Test Drive Unlimited - Stutter

I replied to another thread about this but i thought i would create a thread about it as its a massive problem. When driving about the game split second stutters, when i got an achievement before while driving down the road the game actually stopped/stuttered for about 1 second and it made me crash. Im not playing online just single player. What can i do about it? is it my 360 or the game, not sure what my options are?

Could be the game or the console, are you sure the console is well ventilated and also is the disc scratched??.

I cant say ive had any lockups or stuttering in the game other than the dine in bits where it crashed out on me last night...dont know if it was a one off but will try again tonight.

Hi

i have also had this problem at one point the game froze and i had to reset my 360 i think the problem is with the game servers they keep going on and of maybe this affects the game i dont now.

I get stuttering and such like, graphics are pretty poor as well and bad frame rate, im not overly impressed with it for these reasons.

Oh, and it froze trying to create a game, ejected disk and the xbox hadnt crashed, seems rushed.

Well just tried to play again and if there are loads of cars on screen and you are driving fast etc its just stuttering like mad every few seconds, its going ot have to go back i think. Im gutted as i like the game. :mad:

Its when i change gear and such like.

Well id get the console changed just to be on the safe side, as i said i havent come across any stuttering or anything like that and i was racing with around 6-7 people last night.

Could be your console is on its way out...if you can get hold of another one and see how it runs on that...if you still get the stuttering then its probably the game...ill admit it does have its bugs here and there. Perhaps an update will solve those problems hopefully but dont know if Atari have any plans for an update....

It only stutters for me when it loads something like an achievement or a piece of news pops up, absolutely fine the rest of the time.

Take it back to where you bought it from or get in touch with M$ and see what they say??.

Which reminds me, how do you view the TDU news Nismo...ive had that icon pop up a few times but dont know how to access it if you can that is.

I'd not really had a lot of stuttering or slowdown until i tried the island endurance race that starts in the city,everthing almost ground to a halt and stuttered real bad with 8 super cars hitting 200+ and the city needing to be drawn by the 360 as well!
Still love the game though

Oh! has anyone else found themselves getting cained by the police? i have been playing for a few evening's without being done for traffic violations[don't know how

] then got stopped last night while cruising with the Ferrari 575 and was fined $175.000 :eek:

is this normal or have i found a glitch?

dont change your machine or send it back its the game, it does it on all 3 of the 360's i have here exactly the same,
im not sure why it does it , im also very :mad:

it mad me crash online were it decides to load in a race.

well there is hope thats what xbox live is for they can bring updates out,
well heres hoping

Machine changed and its still doing it so i will just accept its the game and live with it, still means i have a new machine.

What TV/Monitor are you using the 360 with?

Is it another one of those 360 games which runs smoother at 480i than it does at 720p or above...

Probably, i went round to two of my friends house who said theres didnt stutter till i pointed it out to them, which they thanked me greatly for

46" DLP tv running in 1080i, tried all other settings aswell but no difference. When i took it into game they tested it on their tv and it did it and they just denied it was doing it, i was like eh!!!
