Testing RAM

What's the best method of testing memory these days?

Previously I just booted from memtest disk and used that - are there any better options now?

There's also HCI memtest which runs in windows. It helped me find some errors in my xms3 kit real quick unlike memtest which took a couple hours to flag it up.
