testing secondhand cpu

ive recently bought a q6600 off the marketplace but the thing is buyers not tested it for a while so is unsure if it works. now im aiming to fit in over the weekend and was wondering how would i go about testing it to make sure it works.

is simply fitting it and it loading into windows without crashing proof that its working or would i need to run some tests

a few hours of prime 95 at stock speeds and it is safe to say it works ok.

Intel Burn Test.

10 loops is like a 20 hour prime or something.

I ran 100 loops at high the other day (6hours?) and am now totally sure of stability.
