Testing watercooler/pump before install

Is there anyway I can test my new h320 before installing in my machine can I just plug the pump into 1 x CPU OPT Fan connector on my asus maximus Extreme VI and connect the fans to the fan controller thats included?

You can.

But there is no need for the fans in the initial testing. Just get the pump running with that.

It's a closed loop system that is new, I would just install it with some paper towels around the hoses and around the case. Check em after 8 hours and if no leaks it should be fine.

Remember, even if it does not leak outside the case, it might leak after installation if you screw up.. so it's kinda useless to test outside for a closed loop

Thanks I'm curious to hear how loud the pump is and if there is any bubbles etc now to decide whether to fit it on bottom or front or the top of my 900d
