Over 30 hours of lessons, I passed on my fifth test and my first crash was 11 months after. I wrote off my Clio on the moors when I flew off the road over a small hill and landed on top of a wooden fence.

3 minors (I got 3 minors on all 3 tests, but 1 serious fault on the first two).


No crashes yet, about 2 years since passing.
 
Turned 17 on 5th April 06, passed theory on 7th April had about 16 hours of lessons, no access to car otherwise and passed first time on 21st April 06

Yrs to first crash - 5 1/2, taxi driver indicating left swung right and nobbled my old XR3i:(

Hrs of driving tuition - 0 (although 9 months of every day riding my FS1E, then AR50 and finally a RD125LC)
Test attempts - 1. (Part 1 was similar to the CBT, you couldn't really fail that bit)
Minors - again N/A as they were not in force back then (1987 again)
Yrs to first crash - still going 15yrs later.

8 Hours Until 1st "Crash" - I say that , some woman fresh from the waxing parlour pulled out 2ft in front of me while i was doing 30 , i hit a kerb/railing to avoiding her (very narrow road) and destroyed a wheel / suspension arm. Left a tiny plastic mark from my wing mirror on her car and cost me £50 odd quid, and she wasnt even insured :rolleyes:

...Driving safely for over 85,000 miles and 5 years now with no accidents to my name. Couple of small 'wasn't looking' 2MPH taps but apart from that not even a parking ticket!
 
Hours - Billions (got loads free and all others half price as my instructor was my best mate's mum, and I helped her out for an instructor assessment)

Minors - 15 first test plus one major and 6 minors on second test
 
Have done 1 test after 25 hours driving over 2 months, failed with 12 minors and 1 major :(

Doing next test in feb after my january exams, keeping 2 hours a week of lessons going.
 
Think I done just over 40 hours over a period of about 5 months with 3 different instructors combined. Passed theory and practical first time with 4 minors and I did feel like I got too many lessons so I guess I lose the e-penis game :(. Haven't actually driven since though (passed last Dec) only times I touched cars was when my friends asked me to repark theirs and didn't get to crash those.

One to see what I was like, the second to see that I had learned to use my mirrors more.

Back when they didn't have such things, just a flip chart after the test showing various scenarios, I missed what opposing staggered street lights meant (30mph)

They say motorsport is dangerous right.. and they'd be correct ;)
Wrote off One of the parents cars, dented another, got banned in another, got banned again for totting up and got banned again for doing 118 on the M69.

Having said all that though, I've not put a single scratch on a car since 1995 and not had my collar felt since 2004. :D
