I'm looking for some help in recognizing the method/language/format of this text, as I need to translate it. It translated 100% into the British alphabet.

I originally thought it might be some Star Wars/Trek like language as the hint given is : The message decodes to - Voyager, James Carter, 16/6/1977.
Also the theme is slightly UF0 bases.




Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
