IMHO Medic is the best class to play for someone new, because you will mostly be using your team as meatshields it's a good one to start on.

I quite enjoy the Demoman sometimes, spy is fun when you feel like back stabbing peopl, pyro for when you feel like setting stuff on fire, medic for when you have some nice heavies/demo/soldiers on your team and want to help them :)

I occasionally do well with the heavy, had a while when all I played was heavy :P

Engi i'm middle ground on, can take a while to build your stuff up but once it's up you can sometimes do very well with it, guns in good places are hard to take down and the teleports are nice.

Classes I personally don't get on with: Scout, Sniper

Hmm well I guess I said that because the only ones I've seen are instant/fast spawn 32 player 24/7 maps, which just makes it pure spammy. I think 24 player is the best size for a tf2 server.

Also if you ever see Turtles make sure you kill him first ;)
 
GTFO servers are awesome, they have hardly any plugin crap on them, and if you want vanilla respawn, head to servers #5, #8 and #10. They also run DODS, HL2DM and L4D servers (2 of which will become L4D2 when it's released)

Yeah yeah I got them mixed up with the Saignes.de or something servers as I went on a few different ones yesterday. Those have the stupid premium account things which give you massive advantages, building more than one item and all sorts. Completely kills the game :\

You could always ask a friendly heavy for a sandvich. Also, add me via the clicky steam icon in my sig and send a spam or two my way if you want company :)

Oh God yeah, it's mad. People don't actually pay; they just do the trial you can do every 24 hours. Stuff like no reload (IE; rapid fire flare gun), 4x5000HP sentries, health regen and other crap.
 
Ah, a medic. What a rare species of gamer. Seriously, a medic is always welcome on Hampshire Heavies. Hopefully you will join the HH regs!

Indeed medics are a rare comodity on the HH servers sometimes. but playing on there I got the 1 mill heal points archievement in a few weeks :D

edit: had a match y'day on the HH servers and had 4 medics at one point, twas pretty awesome. Thought it was funny we kept winning the rounds with a setup llike that
 
I've noticed people saying medics are rare, but when I play (usually on THG or b2b) people do play like a proper team and we have a couple of medics most of the time. That said there are times when no one goes medic but its more often than not that we do have medics.
