Whats this game all about and worth playing.

Im more of a Cod4 bf, bfbc2 player.

I gave this game a small shot and it seems comical so I stop playing.

Then I read its very highly rated.


I mean compared to bfbc2 etc..its just a novelty joke game right?


Does it compare to Enemey Territory? I loved that game back in the day.
 
Its great game yes the graphics are cartooney but that the style, its one of the only games that make me laugh. I have not played Enemey Territory so can't compare.

Compared to other games its right up there on my list I paid for this on release now its free to play there developers are always adding to the game.
 
TF2 > BF2
If you think differently then you miss the point of gaming entirely...fatty.

I loved RTCW:ET, loved BF the first one, loved CS, RO but cod and bfbc are not my cup of tea (obviusly the later titles that seems to be mass produces by this stage)

I've been playing it for 3 years and it's amazing. The graphics are amazing, and the cartoony theme just improves it. It's very much a team game though, all too often I find myself with noobs who have no concepts of team tactics, and so they go for individual glory. When that happens, our team gets raped :(

Yes I know that you mean, you can sometimes end up with half the team as snipers. Though in my experience if I say to the team "look chaps were are going to losing if most of us are snipers, some of you need to change class" a few will change class; then from that just ask for what class is missing or fill the position myself.

An absolute classic game. At first I didn't get it, I tried it again a couple of years later and got hooked!

I mainly play as the Pyro with the The Gas Jockey set, took me weeks to get the materials for the Attendant hat!
 
I quite enjoy playing as a medic tbh. I will try to adjust my play based on the team, i havn't really found a class that i prefer either, they are all very well thought out i think

Yeah, Medic is my second favourite class then Fatty. Though as a Medic it can be bloody frustrating when you are healing a Heavy when you have low health you know he has a sandwich but he doesn't drop it on the ground for you; then you die FUUUUUUU.
 
It can be a serious game in terms of tactics even more so if you start playing 6v6 7v7 9v9.

I think some of the items and hats are a bit ott and dont really add much to the game but its the best and most fun fps around imo.
 
TF2 is great fun. Not just the looks and humour, but teamplay, game modes and maps. Bit frustrating with the team switching, team stacking, ect... on public servers.

Plus all classes play very differently from each other. Loads of weapon buffs, love it or hate it, and HATS! Good break from 'serious' war games.

I am a one man killing machine with a heavy, but mostly play medic.

Can't really compare tbh. Get past the comedy stuff, and it's imo a very accomplished team game.
 
Personally I hate it; but I think it's more the lack of understanding that I hate more; too many people treat it like a deathmatch game so I end up trying to do objectives on my own and fail miserably :( - though I did prefer the original TF!

However I think with the right group it's probably awesome!
