TF2 Sniper Update

Valve in "blowing smoke up user fanbase ass" shocker :D

I'm sure they do some of this stuff just to annoy the no lifers. I think what they do is absolutley class and hope they don't stop. As long as they keep the idea of TF2 going and don't ruin it with too many stupid mods/updates then long live the King, imo!

MotherMayI: I think some bandwagon when one or two genuinley concerned people moan. But looking at the quality of responce, I'd say the steam forum average poster age ranges from 10-16 :) When I read them I mostly think of kids or no lifers in America and such with nothing better to F5 a page based on a computer game they play 24/7.

Anyway...back to refreshing the TF2 update page.....

lol i got to say i didnt find day 7 update very funny till i saw the skit above. haha

also, i had no idea Jarate was a bottle of pee until i read here. haha random :)
 
I hope Valve doesn't take the Steam forums seriously, it's a joke :(

The way they all jump to conclusions and criticize every unlock before they have had a chance to play it. They can just imagine it as something else if they don't want to think about it as urine, the update page doesn't actually say it's wee. It's not like they've put jars of **** in a game like CSS (that would be retarded) ....it's TF2 so they just need to chill the F out :p

So looks like no confirmation on HOW these new unlocks will be delivered to the player, no more milestone unlocks needed to get them. We will find out tomorrow I guess.

STEAM forum thread rumours that it's going to be item drops....

There are no more achievements to unlock these?
 
Milestone unlocks are now gone with the new update by the looks of it and words with valve yeah.
 
Having read the same article, I really do doubt that they would change the system "just like that".

End of the day, yeah so what, some people hack the achivements to get extas on special unlock servers...but at least they bothered to do that.

I think by making it "random drops" or something equally unthought through will really aggravate the user base even more than "Achivement unlocks". I for one don't care how people get their extra abilities...
 
Nobody knows the complete details - we will all find out tomorrow :p

I don't care either way, I achieved some stuff before and farmed the others. End of the day I had fun with the unlocks and not had to solely focus on getting them and not having fun with the team whilst doing so!
 
Just started my pre-load for the TF2 free weekend and can't wait to get started. Had to miss out on the Orange Box deal because of exams so this gives me a taste of what I'm missing out on :D

They didn't list milestone achievements on the scout achievements list either, nor on the Heavy update.

Edit: Actually, none of them have milestones listed, unless I'm blind.
