TF2 Sniper Update

You can't have both at the same time, unless this update just got 100% more ridiculous.
What happens if you try to equip the backburner in place of the axe then? (not at a computer with it installed at the moment to try it).

You don't get to chose what weapon replaces what, the backburner automatically replaces the standard flame thrower.
 
You get:

Main Weapon
Secondary Weapon
Melee Weapon



And in the case of Spy and Engie:

Utility weapons

Why would engineer be any different from the other classes? it has a main weapon (shotgun), secondary (pistol) and melee (wrench). The only reason spy was different is because it only has 2 weapons so its 3rd slot had to be utility. Engineers have 3 weapons, so chances are they will be upgraded and not a 'utility' item.

I hope the buildings get changed in the update rather than the weapons as that would be a completely dull update :(

I don't think that's what Skippi was saying, he was just stating what the loadout is for the classes, not what's upgraded

Well you cant really upgrade the wrench. Upgrade it to what? Uberwrench? Builds buildings backwards? Maybe a powerdrill? bust through walls? Jackhammer? :eek:

Anyways, Soldier is the update im least looking forward to. They're so imbalanced as it is. They can do point-blank one shot kills and do hardly any damage to themselves. Pah.

I mean the buildings and demlolish tool. :confused:

There's the axtinguisher, so I guess they could, and probably will.

IMO, new buildings are needed or a new tool to protect against sappers.

All I could think of is an SG that is sapper resistant but deals less damage/limited to lvl 2 or something like that
 
Perhaps a forcefield which would disable cloaks, rockets and sticky bombs/grenades but take the place of the dispenser?

I like that, but perhaps only disables cloaks?

And could be in the form of a grenade launcher in place of the shotgun?

I.E. you fire the probe somewhere and it disables cloaks in a reasonable radius?

Different functions, such as a radar tower to see spies instead of dispenser, or a deployable wall/bunker instead of a teleporter.
 
I would like to see a sentry that can hide.

I.E. you have a hole in the ground which the sentry pops out of when an enemy is nearby.

It can still be sapped at any time but cannot be destroyed any other way whilst hidden?

No rockets.
