TF2 Sniper Update

It's a map with 2 small rooms, and it slowly kills you so you can go AFK without being afk-kicked and still get achievements.
Just type
sv_pure 1
sv_lan 0
map achievement_idle
timelimit 0

Then make sure it says it's VAC secured in console, just leave it idle and it will pick up some upgrades.

and make sure you set those settings you invoke a map change, as it won't connect to the VAC Servers, which makes your server elidgable for achivements and items.

3/4 people have got items so far on my server.
 
ugh, I've been on for maybe 10 hours? since the update (not all playing though). All I've got is the FaN, Backburner & Axetinguisher. Some people come on and get maybe 3/4 sniper/spy unlocks in a couple of hours!? Pretty annoying :(

About the same kinda hours here and I've had two unlocks that I already had. Terrible.

The map changes are annoying on your server as I have to babysit it all the time to ensure I stay connected.
 
Well i have just downloaded the update and had a quick game on dustbowl and then pipeline. Encountered a bug where i was playing sniper (had the sniper rifle etc) but in the bottom left it showed me as a pyro. And when i died i saw i was a pyro. Funny being a sniper and having 175 health. Uber! ;)
 
Played for around 30mins, got myself around 6 achievements as Sniper and in that time I saw the boxing gloves given out atleast 3 times, nothing else. What a stupid system.

I was on a HH server, the huntsman came up ~5 times and the Ambassador ~4 times along with backburners a few times and other stuff, someone had a soldier hat too.
 
Has anyone elses Steam been acting weird since the TF2 update? For example, when I add a server to my favourites, if I click any button after it's added, Steam will just close completely.
 
Dudes idling on that arena server as scouts... i think the idle-random-unlock-assignment only works for Sniper and Spy. I got my Boink! once i hit the third milestone, and i've been playing all day as scout trying to be randomly assigned it.

To be honest you needed 10 the first time round so you're no worse off.
