Hey guys, as a long time CS player and picking up CSS since its birth and enjoying every moment of it, i would like some info on TFC, if you guys care to share it with me. I have played it and quite enjoy it. I would love to pick it up now and player with the large community of players still playing it, i heard that theres over 5000 servers playing full? I would also like some history if possible please. was it a big hit when it come out, loads of people still, how is the game now, thank you.

The game was released ages ago and I spent around two years playing for clans from div 4 in the UKTFCL to the Prem.
The game base died a lot and I do not think sites such as UKTFCL still run leagues at one stage we were in UKTFCL, Wireplay, Clan Base and a number of other leagues game was amazing, i remember the old barrysworld servers.

I've picked up TFC again after a 2 year break playing at Prem/European level, started playing summer 99 (TFC was released April 99 btw..).
Not sure where you got 5000 servers now, but I think it's more like 500 servers at any one time.
TFC was quite a big hit, it was the second biggest game below CS online. I still believe it's the best fortress game around and that has ever been around, even more so that TF.
To be honest I think the game is on it's last legs, there are, I believe a few leagues running but very few clans.

I know lol, it seems that i nthe 2 years I was away not a great deal happened
. I really think though with a good Marketing Strategy (PC Mag demo disks etc) the mod could become huge.

I was in a clan called BIA we won a few bits like barrysworld prem in its 1st year and a few times at the iLANS ect. Was in most leagues wireplay uktfcl bla bla allways in the top 4 in its hayday.
most of the guys are still together now playing 2142 ect but i dont think its ever been the same since realy.

Quality clans such as SG, Mr Men, DIS, CSS, etc etc....

Another BIA here TFC was awesome, Im not sure any other game will ever grab as much of my time and attention as that did.Roll on TF2
