TFT/LCD refresh rate...

A question I have always had in my head about TFT/LCDs is that 60Hz is a flicker free solid image, so is there any visual difference between 60 - 75Hz? I've never noticed the difference. Or is this just a faster refresh rate to allow faster FPS?

I think its to try and improve the motion. I read some review somewhere that dispite about 6 lcd's claiming to run upto 75hz. only 2 did.

Maybe it provents the tearing a bit in some fast paced fps games, not sure really. For 99% of tasks it probably wouldn't make a blind bit of difference between 60 and 75.

On a CRT monitor the noticable (visually) difference between 60 and75 Hz is very minimal. Unlike a CRT where you can see a lot of impairment with lower Refresh rates especially when your used to 100+ Hz. The only problem with 60Hz with LCD is the mouse lag that you get if you have Vsync turned on, but i urn it off anyway so i dont mind :)
