Thanks for the comments, as you can imagine I am really really happy with it.
I think It is basically a 955 which has failed qc.
I had a feeling it would be good as i started playing with it as a dual core first of all, so as to monitor core temps vs vcore, (as acc on blanks the temps,)
It runs 1.40v as default, and i havent had enough time to find the undervoltage thresholds, however I had faith in this chip as I set the vcore upto 1.45
and I was able to take the dual core up in 200 mhz steps from 3.2 all the way to 4.2 ghz without increasing voltage.
I havent tried the maximum overclock yet I think there maybe some more left in it,
But my weakness is that i'm using only 2x1gb of Geil 800 ddr2.
I can notice a massive improvement compared to my old x4 620 athlon @3.6ghz.
Adobe cs3 used to take a while to load and with the phenom II it loads instantly.
Also I have seen a good boost in fps in some of my games comapred to x4 620.
I'm currently playing around with memory bandwidth vs Nb freqs as i can overclock my ram to 1066 but it gets unstable.
I think to equal an i7 you would need to be clocked around 300-400 mhz more than an i7.. (dependent on application).

I agree my 3.6 c2 athlon would lockup without fail after hitting 54 on standard heatsink. No matter what voltage you used it wouldn't go over 3.640The titan helped drop the temp down to 44-48 @ 1.43v, 4x 100% load.
I don't know if it's this processor or c3's in general but they seem to be way more efficient at hitting around 3.8 and run cooler under load.
It's hard work overclocking with these boards they are so fussy and buggy!!
