Serves you right? Why don't you read the whole post before you click on the first hyperlink that catches your eye?

You must be terrible when those eBay scams come through...

I actually opened it in another tab in Firefox to read after i'd read the rest of the opening post.

My fault? Sorry, but i don't expect retards to KNOWINGLY post actual links to virus's on this forum.

Do you read maddox or something? He said something similar recently.
(Not that I read it or anything).

I'm afraid that doesn't make the OP any more of a retard. You click on the hyperlink when the next five words were, "but don't click on it"? If you don't actually read what's on the link before you click it, you quite frankly deserve it. Actually that's not true - I wouldn't say you deserve it - I just don't think you should be blaming someone else.

Just put it down to experience - make sure you read the whole post next time :)

[Edit] Stringy, yeah I do every now-and-again - don't think I've seen the article you mean though :) [/Edit]

It didn't actually say anything on the link that would make me NOT click it.

It's like me putting as link to kiddie porn and then saying after 'but do not click it!'.

Maybe i should read posts backwards from now on! :p

You're still missing the point. Let's try again.

If your mate said to you, "Someone just sent me a link to http://www.m0nkee.co.uk - but it was fully of porn", would you still click it? Would he be the person resonsible if you did?

I don't think so.

Don't patronize me!

I'll read posts how i wish. I've clicked on links before without finishing reading the whole posts simply to read later.

The whole reason this happened initially is because someone thought it would be OK to post a link to an actual virus.

Well that's the end of that - he's played the childish card! :p

If you actually decide to post something sensible or understand my point of view, I'll be happy to explain a bit clearer if need be - but I'm not going to bother if that's the stance you take :)

Someone thought it would be OK to warn us of virus going round, he even told everyone not to click it. So that OK by my reckoning.
But it would've been possible to not post the link in clickable form to be on the safe side. No one is really 'to blame' it was just a lapse from a couple of people (the poster, and those who clicked it).

It does seem a bit stupid to post a link to a virus on a forum. I don't think anybody can say it's fozzybears fault.

Not everybody reads whole posts and simply telling them "READ THE WHOLE POST" doesn't help. A lot of people skim read, and a lot of people don't post links to viruses.

It doesn't matter, he posted the link Fozzy decided to follow the link despite warnings, i don't see how it's Freak_boy's fault.

But why post the actual link to a virus BEFORE warning someone NOT to click it? Maybe he should have included something in the thread title to warn people.
