Basic rundown:

Neil posts a thread regarding a certain competitor's autumn plans
Thread is deleted
Ace Modder makes a thread saying 'Remember we sell games, don't mention any competitors'
Forum gives a collective 'WTF?', and asks for clarification
Valkia appears and tries numerous times to explain the new rule. Which isn't new. And may or may not involve Steam.
More confusion.
Valkia locks and hides the thread, saying we're all failing to grasp the simple concept.
New thread is made and instantly deleted.
Another new thread is made, asking what exactly the rules are.
(Somewhere around this time, Neil is banned for naming a competitor before the new rule stating this particular competitor's new venture was off limits)
More drama between forum members and Valkia
The new rule is eventually clarified
People open a new thread asking for Neil to be unbanned
More drama between forum members and Valkia
Some intruiging posts are made regarding emails
Thread asking for Neil to be unbanned is deleted
Neil is unbanned
Neil returns
Much rejoicing
Sticky is made clarifying the new rule
Lots of silly banter

What for?

Banning Neil, holding him hostage from the forum to enforce his rules, being arrogant and throwing his weight around at the community or generally causing a PR disaster for OcUK?

He's probably too busy grovelling to Spie asking to keep his job to find time for an apology. :o

The guy should lose his Donship without doubt, if he keeps it, I think the **** should hit the fan.

I started a thread asking if he should keep it or not but it got deleted.

I think it was a fair question and I know it is it be sorted out privately, not publicly however I do think an apology for how we as a collective were treated is warranted, especially if they expect me to spend any more money here.

See what I did there, blackmail ;)

Either that, or give us 10% off for a whole month.

I for one will never buy games from ocuk now knowing he's behind it.

Attitude was shocking, had a look at me im invincible ring to it, and the situation only got sorted when the real dons came back

I agree with you, it would have been despicable behaviour for a volunteer moderator, but a member of staff? Disgraceful.

I don't think it should be brushed under the carpet and to just have the threads deleted in order to act like it never happened like it has been.
