That's got to sting!

One of the yachts I used to work on cost $1m a week to run. Absolutely insane. But that included, staff wages, docking fees, electricity, diesel, food, traces, contractors, basically everything to make the yacht fiction. It's on another scale of wealth.
There is the saying - how do billionaires become millionaires? Buy a yacht

the amounts of smoke this created was insane.. i live about 2 mins from the harbour and looked out my window and whole bay was covered in black smoke.. theres rumours going around Torquay facebook pages it was owned by Jim Davidson who has a house down here but dunno if true!

also mooring ropes were obviously burnt and it floated into the harbour and was pretty badly damaged.. they are gonna be retrieving the wreckage pretty soon according to local news which am gutted about as i bet some magnet fishing woulda been pretty fun :)

It was @Housey who owned it. His new name is nomohousey :(

yeah, buying a boat is cheap, but keeping it properly maintained and mooring fees is another kettle of fish entirley. I Imagine the insurance company will be not inclined to pay for it, without a good investigation!

Theres quite a concern about the diesel onboard and pollution apparently.

That's certainly an issue some of these Russian oligarchs will be facing - how do they pay for upkeep with frozen assets.

That boat has been parked there a bit.

Just looked at a pic I took from my fathers place, which looks over the harbour and it was there then in December.
