New game time!

Simple idea - name the song from the intro! Hopefully they're not all devestatingly easy

Here's 6 to start.

Song #2 The Rolling Stones - Brown Sugar (grez)

Song #3 REM - Shiney Happy People (brendy)

Song #4 QOTSA - No One Knows (brendy)

Song #5 Creedence Clearwater Revival - Green River (Spektor)
Song #5 - Clip 2
Clue: American band, late 60s to early 70s. This song is the title track from one of their albums.
Song title cryptic clue: The Thames is jealous.

Song #6 Jimi Hendrix - Hey Joe (grez)

I can't see this as breaking any copyright laws, as the BBC can get away with playing 10 seconds of a song without paying royalties

Belmit - afraid not, although it's probably the most obscure of the 6 i put up.

I'll update the OP with the answers so far.

A couple more guesses for number 5 and I'll post some clues or an extended clip.
