going to start my first attempt at Chilli's this year.
is it possible to grow Birds Eye Chillis in our climate? or would they require a good amount of sun/humidity?
It should be possible, so worthy of a try!

Many thanks to NickK my seeds arrived last week, I'm going to pick up some pots today and plant them up!
This is pretty much my first attempt at growing anything so we'll see how it goes. I'll post up some pics when something does actually happen with them, I'm looking forward to seeing how this goes
what's best compost and food NickK?
And what is pearlite? can only find Vermiculite, only pearlite I can find seems to be shampoo for dogs.
Oh and which Vermiculite coarse/medium/fine
Going to just get everything this year.
I do believe I just made a purchase
Fatalii
Hot Cherry
Georgia Flame Chilli
Peach Habanero Chilli Seeds
Hot Lemon
Jalapeno Chili
5 Raja Mirch - Nagaland Naga Morich Chilli Seeds
Hinklehatz Yellow Chilli
I finally got round to planting the seeds NickK sent over for me; Let's see how these do!
The leaves on mine have turned brown on the tips slightly. Not sure why, maybe they haven't been getting enough sun as they're in my room which doesn't get direct sunlight.
Just bought another packet of prairie fire window sill chillis today, shook it just to make sure there was more than 1, which happened last time lol. Then i couldnt get the seed to germinate any tips on germinating the seed? I have airconditioning, but no airing cupboard. Do i just need a warm place?
Its the same on all the leaves. But they still seem to be growing (very slowly).
My chilli's are growing well but they seem to be getting very lanky, they are about 2-3 inches tall and just starting to grow the second set of leaves. Im sure my chillis last year didnt get this tall so quick.
Sorry NickK I know you said it somewhere is it 2:1:1 ratio for the compost:vermicleearlite.
My Cayenne chillies are growing mega slow .
Its probably about time to re-pot them now but i cant see any roots at the sides or bottom of the seed pod.
guys, when i potted my germinated seeds just before, i did it fairly shallow. is this correct?
thanks for the advice. the chilli's im growing are prairie fire, so im hoping they will be a smallish plant. um, also..i sort of just plonked the seeds in the compost/soil stuff, they wont grow a funny way will they?
