I meant the physiology side of it, not the 'oh I'm tired' side of it :) Trust me I'm not someone to shy away from training hard.

Thanks for the tips and the video was nice

Edit: CNS fatigue, wow that is very interesting, I do have this after work.

How to fix this ? eat more bread ?

nevermind, i found it, more sleep and drink green tea :).

I think i need to sleep more, or at least 60mins before i hit the Gym.

Change plan to:
Go home after work
Sleep for 60mins
Hit Gym

Thinking aloud here surely the physical & mental side go hand in hand? I've seen my strength start to regress due to using a 95% load high frequency with moderate volume. Just doesn't work, especially whilst on a controlled diet.

You serious?! The CNS is incredibly complex you can't just avoid fatiguing it by eating more carbs! It state will be affected by your training and recovery so this is what much be addressed.

You'd be better off sleeping after your workout when your body can shut down and repair. Sleeping before hand just when your body starts to shut down you'll be waking it up again and giving it a beating. Not to mention requiring an even more thorough warm up.

Don't change your routine just don't train like a fool and do what someone tells you without reading up on it first.

Yeah I understand where you are coming from, and it does feel that way after a heavy workout. But I'm also thinking aloud here, the CNS is sending & receiving signals, it is all or nothing (i.e. it has to reach min. threshold of -55mv to fire an AP), so it will either work or not (way more complex than that I know). So it is all to do with sodium & potassium levels, and then calcium levels for our muscles (given that everything else is functioning just fine).
So I'm trying to connect the dots as to where 'frying your CNS' comes in after lifting heavy weights?
Drugs & toxins effect the CNS (i.e can block AcH release) but again I'm trying to see a way where depleting the body will effect the CNS.

hehe,

he effects of Central Nervous System (CNS) Fatigue. The symptoms of CNS Fatigue can include lack of motivation, poor mood, impaired cognitive ability and abnormally high perceptions in regards to the force of exertion-that is, we think we're working out a lot harder than we actually are. These are the most obvious symptoms, but there are other less evident ones too.

This is what I have, poor mood, motivation.
I read somewhere increasing BCAAs can fix this, but what food contains BCAAs ?

After Work I am lazy, I am trying hard to force myself to workout
, can't do that without energy.

two bannans a day.

What is your diet like at the moment? What are your activity levels? How much sleep do you get each night?
There is no quick fix to feeling tired and run down its about your lifestyle as a whole.

Breakfast at 8:30am:
Glass of milk
2-3 eggs (Full) or two white and one full
sometimes oats

10:30am or 11am:
Apple and/or banana
or 1 scope golden whey protein ON

1pm launch:
Tuna and mix of fruit Salad
Some days chicken or white / red meat with fruit Salad

5:30pm:
2 x scopes of golden whey protein ON

Gym :1:30min to 2 hours

Home at 9pm:
Rice, more meat or chicken, Salad, and apple

sleep at 12midnight

I am tired because I don't move from my office chair that much, too much work and stress from managers.

Yoga is the key maybe ?

My Goal is to lose fat and get cut, I am 95Kg 182.5CM tall.

Used to be 110Kg September last year.

My aim is 88-90Kg and lean muscle only.

a lot of that is way over my head!

Christian Thibaudeau has some interesting things to say on the CNS:

http://www.t-nation.com/free_online...e_thib_system_8212_fatigue_and_best_exercises

I haven't read it all, just parts. He normally speaks some sense :)

Muzy it's highly unlikely you have CNS fatigue! Hypochondriac much :p

Also, MOAR BREAD?!?! *cries*

*pulls self together*

Ok, it actually looks like you don't consume many fats in your diet. Your problem is probably more due to attitude; you should be smashing through the doors of the gym ready to throw some weights around.

As a side note, crossfit women are the only reason I tollerate crossfit.

Not sure I'd be secure with a woman who looks like she could kick my arse tbh! :p

Though saying "no" is definitely out of the question :D

Anyone got any good recipes to make something like Biscuits/cookies or Brownies or Flapjacks? Anything that tastes nice which is actually fairly good for you, have plenty of Whey to use so.

Most of the girls on that site are just phenomenal IMO. I'd have so much motivation to train if someone like her helped me ;)

OMFG!

I wanna go to america and start going crossfit now.

A friend of mine there is always nagging me to try it. He's an ex ranger and loves it.
