I couldn't get into X3 when i relised that it was a really limited game. Each place was a limited space. Fly through a gate, dock with nearby space station, do your business, fly the another gate, dock, gate, dock, gate, dock etc. There is actually no universe to explorer, all the planets are are pretty backdrops.

Now if they did a single player game like EVE, that would be my dream. I love the hyperdrive and i really felt like i was boming round the universe

Because in the original game Alexis was an incredibly over the top characature of herself.

Just kidding, hard being an MG ... you get slated for camping and not taking flags ... and you sometimes get teams who NEVER drop ammo for you ... it's times like those I wish I cared less and could setup the MG facing into your own spawn and unleash death on your teammates.

Yeah I get it a lot lol. They fail to realise a lot of the time I'm stopping THE ENEMY from moving forward, not stopping us.

I can't, because you can't cover my **** to save your life.

It is the same story everytime. I hold a position, team moans at me for "camping", I move forward and get butchered then the enemy pushes a flag forward.

Why exactly?

In previous forums I visited a number of people who got bitchy about scoreboard screenies were the ones who couldn't achieve anything more than a 1:1 KD ratio. I certainly hope that isn't the reason.

Showing off? The majority of the people in here are showing off what their PC can achieve. It's the same principle so that doesn't wash.

I hope people aren't so brazen to suggest everyone hates them.

So yes, why exactly?

I can't see a problem with it but I think as with most things on these very forums, someone says something along the lines of "thats a poor score" or "what was the point in posting the scoreboard" and all of a sudden everyone who post's a scoreboard gets slated by every man and his dog.

Slightly off topic: These forums are in decline because of people moaning and crying about everything that goes wrong.

This is a place for showing off graphics, funny moments and the like. It's supposed to be free from the "This is how good I am" that tends to spiral down. The old screenshot thread died because of it. It's mentioned in the OP too, take a read.

Basically, showing off with graphics gets a "Wow, I wish mine was that nice". Take a look at the "Game Video" threads that pop up to see what happens when people post their playing ability. In fact you even hinted towards the problem.

Can we get back on-topic now please?
 
Ok that's a fair point Roduga. It's still showing off though. By people posting their SS's they are in essence saying "My PC is better than yours". I can understand this is a thread to show off graphics though and not scoreboards.

Why do people feel the need the post about 15 similar screenshots? I can see how good your graphics are dammit. That's a damn sight more annoying.

I see the thread more of a showcase of games and their graphics, not a willy waving exercise with scoreboards and apparent skill (or lack of) of people. It's not the same as just posting pics with your fancy hardware in my opinion.
