Holy crap, those screenshots look good! They look almost as good as some of the Alan Wake DX10 screens floating around.

I only played the demo way back and it did indeed look very good, but I didn't like how it ran at the time and didn't think much of it other than it being another poorly coded game. May give the full game a spin after my exams, but I'm guessing it would be better if I wait till I get a 8800 or R600 since 50-20fps on GTX seems a bit extreme. That said I would be playing at a lower resolution.

Yes the game has really surprised me, some of the graphics when in heavy forest areas looks similar in detail to Crysis imo! It's not a revolutionary FPS by any means, but you can tell that the game was a labour of love for the developers, so much work has gone into this game. I certainly would not say that it was a poorly coded game, we are seeing this with a few games recently, take Rainbow 6 Vegas as an example, people say it's badly optimised but I feel it's just we have some new games which require really good hardware!

I would wait until you get an R600/8800 before playing the game again, I can see why a lot of people might have been put off originally, also the very first level of the game is a bit poor compared to the rest, so give it time and you will really like this game!

Call of Juarez
-------------

Had this title gathering dust for quite some time!
Having recently got an 8800GTX I decided to give it a go.
I didnt expect much from the game.
The game has completely blown me away, Just love the atmosphere, and the graphics are amazing! Recommended to all of you to give this game a whirl, it's very underrated that's for sure.

Running the game in 1920x1200 0xAA HDR 16xAF - forcing VSync and triple buffering with DXTweaker, it averages around 50fps, although in some real heavy forest areas it can dip down below 20 !!!!

Got that myself a while back. Got annoyed cos the game was playing up with my gtx. Have they fixed the shadow problem now?

Fullsize, converted from a 3.7Mb .bmp file so there's a little degradation of the image. :)

Looking good! What episode of Guild wars is that from? I've got Prophecies and Nightfall, never really got into them as WoW has been taking up my gaming time, however I'm starting to lose interest in it

It's from Factions, I normally use Factions to level a character up pretty quickly but in this instance I had to us it as you can't choose to start the Assassin class in the other two chapters.

hmm dont think there are any addons really, not like there are for oblivion, just put hdr on, aa and af all the way up and play at high res

There's quite a few, the cinematic mod replaces all the textures with high res textures for instance.

Can any games have HDR and AA on at the same time? I'm sure they don't work together? I know they don't on Oblivion and HL2... so quite sure they dont on any other... but I could be wrong?
