the background doesn't look real at all, looks like a painting

the game seems to have this odd grain effect looking at those screenies

to be fair ive never ever seen or pld and fps that looks real, and i dont think theres will ever be one for a long time :D

Been playing these games for last few days so thought id post some screenies. First is FEAR, find it hard to get into and game real game dosent run any better then the demo for me.

I doubt that very highly. Its illegal for them to deliver it before release date. Normally they ship the day before/2 days before release date depending on your location so that you receive it on release day. I live half a mile from their warehouse and personally know one of the guys who runs sed warehouse. (went out with his step daughter)

How do you suppose people have games a day or so before the release date?

I know competitors who dispatch games and they arrive early, hell my copy of Quake 4 did!

many high street retailers sell games before they're out.
online retailers are no different, they announce that a game is to be released, say October 28th, 9 times out of ten, you'll have it either the 27th or 28th

i completed Fahrenheit on the PC, the day before it was released :p

there are even screenshots in this very thread, of people playing games before release date... most recent? Quake 4, before that, i'm sure you'll find a few F.E.A.R. screenshots before release date too

Well, do you want to doubt the fact that for the last 10 pre-orders I've made from Gameplay, every single one of them has gotten to me a day early? That includes Ninja Gaiden Black, delivered today (well, Thursday as it's now Friday).

I've spoken to the guys at Gameplay, I work less than a mile from the warehouse, and they've told me all they do is send the game out in time to get their for the release date. If you're lucky enough to get the game a day early, then it's down to a good postal service. So they say.

Precisely, that was my point. It is illegal for them to give it out before release day however they can get around this by posting it before hand so that it arrives on release date. (and in SOME cases, if you are lucky enough then it is down to the speed of the postal service)
