The 911 Turbo

That is stunning....simply stunning! The painted lip just finishes the car off perfectly. I'm looking forward to the interior shots.

Agreed. I'm deciding whether to have that as my wallpaper or keep Long Cat. :p

As has been pointed out the front spoiler lip and rear valance is black, but waiting to be fitted I have the same parts painted Cobalt Blue. I just want to see how likely I am to scrape the front lip first.
That would be me but I pick holes in everything :o

IMO colour coding those parts would make a HUGE difference and make the whole car look very near perfection

Why don't Porsche offer such services when you're specifying the car? I thought they were dead serious about uniqueness and personalisation.

Wow Spie stunning car, simply stunning and the colour looks very lush...really compliments it very well. The colour coded front lip sets it off very nicely:D...loving those yellow calipers as well:p

Awesome looking car Spie, hope your enjoying it:).

They do, but at twice the dealer price. It also delays delivery.

Not really hit the brakes hard yet but reports indicate they are virtually fade-free.

Here's some more with the painted lip fitted.

I know, I'd actually pay just to be a passenger in one for a short ride :D

Spie you really are a lucky man!

Ah fair enough. Is that the official Porsche cobalt blue or did you specify the exact colour you wanted?

Yep and it was painted by an official Porsche dealer too.

Awesome. I appreciate you've stated that it's a fast car, but you haven't really said whether or not you've been blown away by the performance? Was it Gibbo who described it as a never ending warp drive? :D

I was just wondering if it's a slight improvement over your M5, or whether it is genuinely jaw droppingly quick? I've been in one myself but I was only getting a short lift, and it was traffic so the bloke couldn't really show me much. I have however seen them in overtaking action and it isn't even funny how quick they seem from another car.

It does feel faster than the M5, because it is. Around a second quicker to 60. But I've not pushed it yet. Driving a 911 fast takes some skill. I remember the first few days in my Carrera 4. I though I was going to crash all the time. Confidence builds and with it the knowledge that 4WD and 305/30x19 rear tyres don't lose grip that easily. I'm looking forward to getting to know the car.

Looks amazing!

Out of interest, how much is each rubber? Any idea's on how long they last on average?
