Look at what I just almost stepped on on my way to bed tonight...
Not to worry, he's only about 1.5cm long, kinda cute in a "if you were any bigger I'd crush you into oblivion whilst squealing like a little girl" kind of way.
Did actually see a bigger one last night (more like 5-6cm
), but didn't think to take any photos as I was too busy looking for the napalm (ended up scooping it up with a dustpan and brush and launching it across the garden - the sheer terror of getting that close to it only overcome by the prospect of finding it in my shoe the following morning!)
On further reading, they're pretty harmless, with a sting around the same as a mosquito bite, or at worst a bee sting, but still... I don't really mind spiders, but something about scorpions really freaks me out!
