I was talking about this very incident to a colleague on Friday. He went to school with the son of the chap who got sucked off. Strangely enough, another kid from their school was the son of the farmer who found the captains wallet in his field. Small world!

Can we Please stop posting memes and junk taken off farcebook and tweeter, especially stuff that is easily proven to be false, like a photo of a Russian MMA fighter after a bout, with nonsense text about how she was raped at a BLM protest.

It's getting tiresome and I'm getting really sick and tired of the political memes from 4chan, qanon and the like that keep cluttering up this thread.

He was hardly a madman. He was just the captain and Pilot. The previous night, an engineer had replaced the screws on the window with the wrong size, slightly too small. When the pressure outside dropped, the window was blown out as was he. The cabin crew managed to grab his legs and they landed the plane safely and he did indeed survive.

As far as I know, currently Political Images are allowed - however use some discretion - it's supposed to be the "fresh random image thread", not the "fresh political images" thread.

If every other image that is posted is political, then likely they will be removed.
Similarly if certain posters only ever post political images to further their own agenda, then they will likely be banned from this thread.

Obviously when big political events happen e.g. the US election, then a bit more leeway can be given with regards to political memes
