As some of you may have noticed (not Rotty though) I locked the old thread some time ago as I was fed up of constantly moving posts out of there that shouldn't have gone in there. The thread was meant to be somewhere for stupid jokes and banter, not to post anything and everything because you couldn't find an appropriate thread and were too lazy or scared to open a new thread yourself.

The first person to post "It's not banter but....." in this thread is getting a free one week holiday to banville.

Also, as I was forever deleting posts for this, spoilers rules still apply in here. Keep your terrible banter when x has lost in the matchday thread until the game week has finished.

I've added a poll to see whether we'll allow the AI pictures that were constantly being posted in the old thread too.

I’d vote yes. Equally I’d welcome a thread for General Football chat for things that don’t warrant their own thread/belong elsewhere but that I wouldn’t class as banter.

Can they update odds quicker that I can get bets on,?
Not sure what you mean. Most in-play betting has a built in buffer I think to avoid people who are physically present and watching in realtime (i.e. no TV delay) 'sniping' bets. So if you place a bet it will get queued for 10 seconds or whatever before being placed. I think this was a response to people sat at cricket matches with bets queued up like which batsman would get out next, and then clicking bet as soon as a wicket fell, before the odds updated or market was suspended. Similar things happened in Tennis I think.

Last year I was at a game here and there had been a scuffle with punches thrown, VAR was looking for over 2 mins and the odds on a red card hadn't been suspended, didn't place anything that time, was just watching , there were 2 sent off

No VAR this season unfortunately so that will reduce opportunities, even with a 10 second buffer I reckon odds updates may be slow enough that by the time info comes through from a Thai second division game me sat at the game could bet a bet on

Maybe the buffer will be longer, sure they have controls but I'll see what happens

Got an advert on Instagram today which confused me since living in the north east of Scotland I can't say I know or follow anyone that's openly a spurs fan. I think I checked the right reason for not seeing the advert again?

That’s how spurs players considering attacking and scoring goals not needed as it’s irrelevant to a match xD

Reminder, Amazon Prime are currently filming an All or Nothing documentary with Man Utd this season. They have already filmed:

- Hull beating them on the opening day of the season
- Losing the Manchester derby at home, despite rivals Man City being on ten men (plus VAR controversy)
- JJ Gabriel dropping a bombshell and demanding to leave the club
- Brighton being the first team in over 50 years to win at Old Trafford after trailing by two goals to dump the hosts out of the Carabao Cup

It's not even October yet

So what you're saying is that it'll be a ratings winner! :p
