Yeah its kinda dissapointing i always have to wait for a driver to come out when new games come out. I suppose thats just a disadvantage of pc gaming especially with crossfire/sli setup's.

I'm losing faith in AMD if I'm honest, their driver schedule is awful :(

Im there with you lol theres been so many new games released since the last driver update.

Right there with you guys. I hope it's worth the wait and we get a good jump in performance with the latest games.

I imagine AMD are working hard to decode all the carp Nvidia have used via gameworks in the latest games, the gimping is likely hard with some of the new games :p

In the mean time, it is lovely having a rather lovely and smooth bf4 experience for probably the first time since the game came out...

I may be hesitant to install new drivers if they come out :)

Now if I could only get away from work...

My only suggestion to AMD right now is to release the drivers and Crossfire profiles separately as they used to be. Would make things so much simpler rather than having to wait for driver updates for the updated/added crossfire profiles.

In fairness nobody is making anyone buy or play these games. If you don't like a game for whatever reason (be it GameWorks or something else) don't buy it. While people keep buying them no doubt people will keep making them.
The other question is, are these games buggy and poor performing BECAUSE of GameWorks or were they going to be buggy and poor performing anyway and they just happened to ue GameWorks?

While I'm not really affected at the minute as I'm going through a phase of playing older games (as the newer ones don't interest me, so I don't buy them, see how that works?) I can undrstand the frustration that people have when new games come out and you have to wait a month or more for AMD to release new drivers just so they have a crossfire profile for the game. While disappointing I think it's fair enough to have to wait for general driver optimisations for the newer games it would be nice if the people that spent a lot of money with AMD (or their partners at least) got to make use of all the hardware that money bought while games were new.

(Benching aside) What possible reason would you buy graphics cards if you're going not to play games? :D

Yes the latest games should be running well and at least 'a bit' optimized at launch, and yeah deliberate gimping games to run poorly on other hardware than you're own brand just hurts everyone.

You're suggestion of just don't buy games that Nvidia have messed with is ridiculous, come on...

AMD will hopefully decode that mess soon and optimize the newer gimped games :p

don't buy it

Lol. Don't gimp it more like.

Not saying don't buy any games, just the ones that you have a problem with. I'm sure not every new game has GameWorks in does it? Or are you suggesting that they all do and therefore you can't play any of them?

I don't like Cricket games, but I'm not going to moan and complain because someone makes them!
If I had strong feelings against GameWorks/Mantle/TrueAudio/PhysX/TressFX then I just wouldn't buy those games either.

If you generally think you'll like a game but dislike a specific bit, then you need to decide if the bit you dislike about it outweighs the you you do like about it.

Don't get me wrong, I own more AMD cards than Nvidia cards, so I'd be affected too if I was interested in these games. Luckily most games with GameWorks in don't interest me. Most games with Mantle in don't interest me either.
Maybe DX12 will come along and level the playingfield somewhat...

Yea I remember the cap system causing issue with people who just didn't seem to get it. Uninstalling and reinstalling new main drivers alone seems to be a challenge for a lot so I completely understand and support the way they are currently doing it. Notice the games we are waiting on for driver support are usually Nvidia backed titles. I can only imagine what they have to go through.

Just want to say guys the feedback is appreciated and it is being taken onboard. Of course i can't go into specifics, but as soon as the driver is ready I'll post about it here. I know it's been a while since our last update, but we want it to be as good as it possibly can be.
