The AMD Driver Thread

i'd like to think that CPU specialist the driver team was looking for a while back has made their 1st contribution, but i think it maybe a little too soon.

Hope that does happen eh Matt? As well as adaptive v-sync, VSR, Mantle tweeks, Crossfire profiles, Freesync and general fixes/performance improvements. That driver guy is gonna want a holiday,

Correct, not long to wait now though. :)

Can you tell us whether they are good or not? By which I mean, will we be mostly happy, or do you expect a lot of "3 months wait for this?!" and rage faces (yes there will always be some, but you know what I mean)?

Technically no NDA broken there, so you can tell us :)

Should I leave this here in preparation?

From Hardware Canucks' review of the new Titan:

That situation is put into stark contrast when we look at what’s happening with AMD’s driver development as of late. Not only has it been nearly four months since their last revision – which is an eternity in the PC gaming space- but the new release they gave us in time for the TITAN X review leaves much to be desired as well. At 1440P it performed admirably (albeit with the Metro: Last Light problems remaining unresolved months after they first reared up) but 4K compatibility was a hit and miss affair at best. Crossfire profiles were either broken or missing in Metro: Last Light, Hitman Absolution, Dying Light and Far Cry 4

May God have mercy on us all...
