The AMD Driver Thread

Important Note:
The AMD CrossFire™ profile for Dying Light is currently disabled in this driver while AMD works with Techland to investigate an issue where AMD CrossFire configurations are not performing as intended. An update is expected on this issue in the near future through an updated game patch or an AMD driver posting.

Literally the only thing I wanted from these drivers was a crossfire profile for Dying Light.

Except you can only use it on one of your cards...

No big deal with me tbh.. I spend more time these days gaming on one them anyways.. All I play is csgo.. :D

Battlefield 4 running Freesync earlier was something quite surprised by it.. Only had couple mins before work though to test things..

Be on hardline tonight testing it out.

The D3D driver itself is the exact same version as the 14.12s lol

Seems more like their driver department took 3 months off and started this driver last week.

Is there anything for single gpu users?
I was hoping a few stuttery titles would be fixed.

Revelations 2 is one where the fps can drop into single figures with my 290x when there's a lot of liquid around (By the sea shore, sewers and in rooms of blood etc). Jumping in and out of the menu screen usually fixes it but that's not the point.

Any improvements for single GPU's in any games that have been released in the last 3 months?

going by ayahuasca comment, it sounds like the 14.12 omega driver with CF profiles.

Personally not interested in freesync yet as I want it to mature abit before investing.

I called it the other week this long delay has been because of Freesync.. Getting it read it must have been through a lot of testing with manufacturers etc..

That the only thing I can think of. No other reason really.

Then at the very least you would expect crossfire support on release.

Freesync was being demo'd at the beginning of the year and running fine from the people who seen it.

Also why the 4 month wait for profiles if their focus was only freesync.

Its a dumb decision for amd to release "freesync" with no crossfire support and its something they've done twice in the past and received criticism for. Apparently lessons don't get learned.

Eyefinity originally had no crossfire support and that was a waiting game. Frame-pacing also had no crossfire support and that was another waiting game. Considering their current flagship card is crossfire on a board its utterly stupid that amd AGAIN release a driver for a new tech with no multi card support.

Why do they continually shoot themselves in the foot with this kind of thing? If you're releasing a new driver for a new tech then FFS make sure multicard support is in it and its not a friggin waiting game like always.

They know what the criticisms are yet they do absolutely diddily to address it.

AMDMatt:
PLP support has been ignored for far too long... now hurry up with the 3xx series so that I can start enjoying my 20|30|20 PLP setup without resorting to 3rd party hacks and windowed mode without CF support apart from couple of mantle enabled games where CF works in windowed mode (bf4: 4960x1600p)

At last :)

Windows crashed whilst installing the drivers and now I just get this everytime I try and install them:
