You running any over or under clock? Could try at stock and see if it continues to happen. Is the game in steam? Could try and integrity check of the game files if so as well.

Nah i dont overclock or undervolt, never needed to i felt. Yeah ive tried verify files a few times but seems all is ok there. Thing is, alt and tab used to be ok in dune i think anyhow, its just recently been doing it, it could be due to a game patch as theres been a few patches over the weeks. For now ive set game to windowed fullscreen which lets me get to desktop ok but then fps suffers a bit i.e not as smooth. When it froze i left it for about 3 mins and somehow after pressing ctrl alt del i could get back to desktop when the black screen asking task man, log off, etc comes up. Then i notice the game ended and amd driver report tool shows up which i tried to fill best i could and send off and a funcom crash report came up which i clicked send. So hopefully they got some info to help with that issue tho knowing my luck is never looked at.
Damn ok. That's annoying. Other games behaving ok?

At the very least I'd update to the latest driver.
So you have chrome in the background with YouTube or Netflix etc running in the background?
I had this with an older driver or similar to this.
Using the most recent pro drivers and working fine.
Im not sure, i might have, tho usually i try to close things down before playing dune.
Ive updated drivers 25.6.3 optional (hope there stable vs the other one), skipped ddu to see if its ok to upgrade em with dling drivers from amd site (not through adrenaline), fingers crossed the one time i tried alt and tab it was ok, but well see.

Ive done via AMD website for years, and via adrenaline more recently. Been ok for me. Fingers crossed you're alright now.
Meh now warthunder is crashing a lot, might have to ddu again. Unless its a problem with rt and wt with these new drivers. I only had rt on low, performance was never a problem it just crashes for some reason. I turned rt off for now to see if it crashes anymore.
I have an identical problem and solution. Google Chrome freezing and solution is to disable graphical acceleration.
Dune issue with alt and tabbing probs cos i got discord open too i dunno but the freeze is just not acceptable, and this is with 25.6.3 driver and i did ddu. And wt bug with dx12 still happened with new drivers. I hope these both get fixed in next drivers. I even did dsim and sfc stuff and updated lan and audio and chipset drivers too which i noticed when i checked the other day had updates which for audio and lan is not often they get updates on the mb site. The issue is dune and fullscreen and alt and tabbing, with war thunder its dx12 mode (used to be fine on 25.5 driver i had unless a new wt patch messed it up). So the work around for now is fullscreen windowed mode for dune not ideal as u lost a bit of performance like that, and dx11 mode on wt.

And finally, any 3rd party software installed, could you list what you have running? I know for me personally, that uninstalling all the bloatware that came with things like, the motherboard, apps for the SSD drives, anything that hooks into GPU and system stuff really does improve stability. All my Corsair software and LG stuff has gone. I literally just have AV and Fan Control running in my system tray.
Sometimes these badly coded apps can cause stability problems.
Good job on the DISM and SFC checks as well.

I've had a few issues with my 7800xt pc freezing, driver timeouts and random restarts I'm not sure what fixes it but ive updated bios clean windows reinstall and upto date drivers and been absolutely fine since
Latest driver with BF6 Open Beta support:
I was affected by they freezing chrome issue and this driver fixes it. Also in steam, I have enabled gpu acceleration inside that too. I don't think this driver helped with AMD on stable diffusion, defaults to the CPU onboard iGPU gfx1036; that is when the installer is working.

Doesn't fix it for me. Same issue with hardware acceleration enabled. Edge freezes, and you have to press Ctrl+Alt+Delete for the system to unfreeze. On a RX 6600 but l had the same issue with my old Radeon 570. No issue with hardware acceleration in other programs / media players.
No didnt fix it for me either with Chrome and I've had that driver for a couple of weeks. Edge is fine tho.

Since installing this driver I have had random crashes when using Floorp (Firefox variant). It's rock solid when gaming but just using the internet the pc will crash and reboot and Whocrashed says that a SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION is the cause which is usually a result of a bug in a driver. Anybody also having this issue? In the meantime I am going to roll back to the driver I was previously on and see if the issue remains.
***Edit*** Since rolling back the driver I have had no crashes at all, however, I think it was possibly not caused by the driver but by a overvoltage of the domestic power supply and updating the driver just happened to coincide with the problems starting. On Tuesday night after the storm I was unable to charge our EV due to the charger throwing a error. It turns out that the error was caused by a overvoltage according to OHME who is the manufacturer of my charger. I plugged a power monitor in and it was showing 251.6v and OHME raised the safety limits on my charger so it would work. SSEN were very busy as you can imagine and said they would send a engineer out when one was available. Fast forward to last night and I could'nt charge the car again, same error so I plugged in my trusty power monitor and it read that the supply was fluctuating between 255.7v and 256.4v. Checked again this morning and it was reading a solid 256.9v, checked next door and it was the same. Phoned SSEN again and they logged the details and said a engineer will be on his way shortly so hopefully this will be sorted out soon. I suspect that the overvoltage was tripping the psu's safety and not the driver to blame.
