The AMD Driver Thread

The same could be leveled at Nvidia, neither company have acquitted themselves well. It really is a choice between 2 evils.Choose your poison. :)
No I agree 100%, both as bad as one another. I've levelled that at both companies many a time on here.

Neither of them are your friend, which is why I'll never understand fanboys.

I typed out a long response but it's basically: Buy our new stuff.

No idea on the savings but I daresay it'll be substantial over the whole platform. What they lose in goodwill and brand image is unknown though.
Not long ago (January this year) I had RX 6900XT, really good a capable card. I'd be gutted if I still be on it...

Is there any news on Battlefield 6 crashes? I'm getting constant hard crashes. Display loses power / connection basically and loud noises. I have to switch it off quickly. If I leave it too long when I eventually get back to windows then the drivers are corrupt and I have to reinstall. If I catch it early enough it's fine.

Tried every driver, DDU'd, fresh install of Win11. Other games are fine.

I don't think there's any one one driver that stands out as being the most stable, this isn't Nvidia ;).

25.9.2 is the previous optional release before 25.10.1, so you'd imagine that would have more stability fixes before the new revisions.

I installed 25.10.2 at the weekend and have been suffering from windows explorer lock ups. I rolled back to the 25.9.2 drivers and so far everything is ok again. Running W11 25H2 with latest updates. Hope this helps someone with the same/similar problem.
