*** The AMD RDNA 4 Rumour Mill ***

Don't know if this has already been posted.

Monster Hunter Wilds wouldn't be the best game to showcase I would imagine, it swings between being CPU limited to GPU limited depending on what's happening and isn't optimised that well to begin with.

One of the fans on my 2080ti gave out the other day and another sounds like screws in a blender above a certain RPM, I've got some replacement ones on the way in a week or two, March can't come quick enough to see if these are worth it!

A couple of pages back - but we've all probably changed our opinions on it since then so lets crack on.

Well for the LoLs I ran that benchmark with my sig specs.. 54fps :D Ultra with Highest Textures at 1080p with DLSS 3.7. something it said?

Only second time I've ever used DLSS, used it in F1 24 Free Weekend on Steam a while back.

So anyone with a 3060Ti, thats around abouts your result with a 5800X3D.

Guess I need an upgrade if I plan on playing these types of games, which I dont

Edit.. oh yeah, there was stutter with this 8GB card but not as much as I thought there would be :p

I just wish the people deciding to leak these benchmarks actually bother to deliver a decent gaming benchmark for a change.

1080p? Slap it to 1440p as a minimum and no FSR, Frame Gen shenanigans.

Nice reviews pretty much the same time looking forward to it, AMD still probably do it's own presentation before

7900xt score same settings

Look at that, a CPU with about 15% more performance gets about 15% more performance :D

Sorry.... :)

on paper i guess, but the ultra 9 285k isn't really a gaming CPU and some games just won't load with it.

Given its a CPU test its hard to gauge as others have said, there is also the argument with FSR 4.0 being such better quality even if it matched the 7900xt(which should have a higher MSRP) its an upgrade

Yeah. Honestly this is my main interest, said this before but I had no interest in upscaling until I bought a ps5 pro and despite some early teething issues pssr really is a great upscaler. The job it does on kingdom come 2 is a thing of beauty. I can't have the tech in my console be ahead of my PC hence why I am almost certain to get a 9700xt.

It really ticks me off that they used framegen and FSR for this benchmark... at 1080p no less. Not very helpful. That said, from the tests posted on here, at least we now know it's probably at least faster than a 7900XT, thanks @terley and @humbug for the benchmarks. I'm surprised other folks across the internet haven't tried to also try the same benchmark to gleam what little knowledge we can about these new GPUs.

Anyhow 6 days till we get 5070ti reviews showing it barely is better than a 4070ti super while probably being scalped for silly prices when it goes on sale the day after.
And with 5070 releasing on 5th March... (incidentally I have the day off to go watch a comedy show, I should have saved myself the tickets to watch the 5070 launch disaster instead ) no more excuses for holding things back AMD.

There needs to be some sort of announcement after 5070ti reviews come out and that launches.

Monster Hunters Wild Benchmark

Rx6800

No frame gen or anything else

Score 29814
Avg 87.18fps

Not too bad in comparison for an old card
