The answer to the petrol crisis

Eh? Water? Oh noes! Steam! We are all gonna get wet!!!!

Im hoping you mistyped, or are trying to sarcastic.

you're showing your ignorance there.

water vapour is a big greenhouse gas. if all cars were chucking out water, it really wouldn't be very good.

Which then condenses to water in seconds....

what do you suppose happens to it then?

Not all of it, you get water 'in the air'

If the car is designed properly, no water vapour would be emitted by it, it could all be condensed inside the car. And then could be put down the drains where it would be pumped to a fission reactor creating masses of deuterium, then used for a fusion reactor, providing even more power. ;)

Using a condenser means you still need to dissipate the heat energy somewhere, and adding a condenser will decrease the efficiency of the system. Emptying water out, increase weight. No thanks. It's a flawed system that looks good to Daily Mail readers.

Righto, after reading those links. (By the way, the first is one of those consipracy sites and as such cannot be trusted). I can see what you are saying. However, there is a lot more research needed and more recognition. I for one have never heard of this effect. It depends of course how the water vapour is emitted.

Of course, to make hydrogren, you split the water thus reducing the water in the air only to recombine when its used etc etc.

As for this comment "you're showing your ignorance there." seems a bit harsh.

Air travelling at 30mph+ removes a lot of heat, the heat itself can even be converted to electical energy or used in the car heating system increasing the efficiency. Hell you could even have an in car drinks dispensor using the water. :p
