The Apprentice 2008

If it were that straight forward then none of us would have anything to talk about to their colleagues the following day ;) The sooner we remember that this is "Alan Sugar's Big Brother" and not "Logical reduction of inappropriate and under-qualified business people" the easier the outcomes are to manage.

I detest the show with a passion for this very reason :)

I don't remember the other series' being so overtly biased though (through editing and, ultimately, SAS's decisions). Maybe I'm not as stupid as I used to be.

It's now the morning after and my anger still hasn't subsided maybe i need help:mad::mad::mad:

lol.... lol..... sorry, maybe because I've calmed down I've also become insensitive. It was a stupid choice to make, however, I'm sure the old man knows what he's doing:rolleyes:. We probably don't see half the footage filmed.

I detest the program and though I appreciate the fact its edited for effect and is often taken out of context to enhance the 'show' I find it painful going.

Lindi was so amazingly dumb, she thought the 4.99 idea was genius haha

Looks like the boys don't click so well next week though.

Oh and am I the only one that thinks Lucinda is pretty attractive?!

I wouldn't give half the people on the show a job working in a 99p store! They all just try and sound like they know what they are talking about with buzzwords.

I've only just got round to seeing the last episode as they don't show it in switzerland! I think Lucinder and Jenny should have been fired as they were both rubbish.

24 hour hotline lol!

You're right. However in the past Sir Alan has said he couldn't fire more than one person a week. Now he's saying it wouldn't be that hard to get rid of the three of them.

Have the producers changed the rules?

I'm pretty sure he booted off more than one person early on in the last series, didn't he?

Edit: Yeah, week two.
Who gets fired: Ifti and Rory; Ifti for his self-confessed lack of input (which he put down to missing his family) and, in a surprise second firing, Rory for failing as a leader.[35] While multiple firings have been commonly seen in the US version of the show,[36] this marked the first time that Sir Alan dismissed two people outside the final interviews.[35]

I have been utterly amazed sof ar this series. I can't believe how much of a difference there has been. the boys seam to have bonded really well while the girls are just bi*c*ing and arguing like theres no tomorrow!

I do love watching the your fired after though!

Can't fire *too* many people though, or we'll get to episode x and there'll be nobody left. :p

Actually, is the apprentice a fixed number of episodes long? Or can they shorten/lengthen as wanted.

Empty boardroom for the final.

Fixed episodes I believe. It's all structured before hand.

Its 12 episodes long.

The filmed the final for this years series in my office, was all good fun. I didn't get to work with them directly but know a few people who did.

Forgot that this was back on - just caught up on iPlayer. The girls' team leader really made my blood boil, especially when the other girl eventually had to intervene to stop her talking over Lucinda. I think Shazia was unfairly fired - she was one of the only girls who showed any initiative and I would pin the blame for the ****-up with the shirts on Jenny rather than her.
